Asthma Education
Tina Foss, BS, AE-C, is a nationally certified asthma educator licensed in the
State of Oregon and a member of Association of Asthma Educators. Asthma
education is provided in individual session.
The curriculum consists of general topics in asthma as well as patient
specific topics. The general topics include what asthma is, symptoms of
asthma, monitoring using symptoms or peak flow meters, medications,
triggers, and prevention. An asthma action plan is also introduced or
reviewed.
Individualized instructions for patient specific needs are given to the patients
depending on their asthma medications, types of inhalers, specific triggers,
and individualized asthma action plans given by their providers.
